Billing and Purchases

How do I pay my bill?

Paying your bill for your internet plan is easy.

  • Go to store.human-i-t.org and click on the green icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen that says “Sign In”.
  • Enter the email address and password associated with your Human-I-T Account.
  • After signing in, look to the top right corner of your screen and click on the green icon of a person next to the word “Account”.
  • Once you’re on your Account screen, click the button on the left-hand side of the screen that says “Manage Subscription”.
  • If you have an outstanding bill, you’ll be able to enter your payment information on this page and renew your internet service for a duration of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.

How do I get a bigger discount on my purchase?

To get an even bigger discount on our devices, all you need to do is create a Human-I-T Member account. During the account creation process, just remember to upload proof of your annual income or that you're part of a government program, and within five business days you’ll what back from our team about whether or not you’re eligible to become a Human-I-T Member. If you’re eligible to become a Human-I-T Member, not only will you get exclusive discounts on your purchases, but you’ll also be able to access low-cost internet plans and ACP benefits.

I need a new hotspot. How do I go about that?

If your current hotspot from Human-I-T  is not working correctly, please refer to our Warranty page or our Returns page for more information on how to proceed with receiving a properly functioning device.

 

If, however, you’re looking to simply buy a new hotspot, you’re in luck! We've got Franklin T10 hotspots available. After a one-time payment of $80, you can enjoy monthly prepaid internet service starting at just $14.99 per month. Just head over to https://store.human-i-t.org/shop-all/franklin-t10/ to get yours!

Membership and Eligibility

How do I submit proof of eligibility to become a Human-I-T Member?

We've got you covered with a few options here. You can submit your proof of eligibility online when you're setting up your Human-I-T Membership, over the phone, by email at support@human-i-t.org, or even in person at our store on 7 Mile Road in Detroit. How do I check if I've been approved?

While you’re waiting for approval, you can check your status by going to your Human-I-T profile. Once you've submitted your documentation and it's been approved by one of our Human-I-T agents, your account type will change to a “Member”. This means you're all set to enjoy our Member-exclusive discounts!

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

Do I receive a free device with ACP?

Not exactly free, but pretty close! With ACP, you get a $100 voucher from Human-I-T. This can be used towards buying any ACP-eligible device. Some laptops can even be snagged for as low as $50 with this deal!

I got accepted to the ACP program. What should I expect/or do next?

Congrats on using your Human-I-T Membership to its full potential and getting accepted to the ACP! 

 

Your next step is to make a one-time purchase of our Franklin T10 hotspot by visiting /shop-all/franklin-t10/ and choosing an internet plan that’s best for you. From there, you can browse our Laptops category page and filter your search to look for ACP-eligible devices. The devices that show up will be eligible for you to apply your $100 device voucher toward, which can make some of our laptops cheaper than $50.

Returns and Repairs

How do I return my item?

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service department by emailing support@human-i-t.org with the word “RETURN” in your subject line. We'll provide you with instructions on how to return your device, along with a prepaid return label. Please make sure to include all original packaging and accessories when returning your device.

 

Please note that you must initiate a return within 60 days from when you placed your order to receive a refund. The device must be verified to be working and in good condition to receive a full refund. If the device is damaged, Human-I-T reserves the right to offer you a partial refund based on the condition of the device. Do you repair laptops, tablets, etc?

We can! While computer purchase comes with a whole year of free tech support, this does not always include free repairs. If you need help overcoming a simple technical issue, just text us at 888-391-7249 or fill out a tech support request form on our website. We're here to help. However, if you believe that your device is experiencing a major technical problem or is defective, please refer to our Warranty page or our Returns page for more information on how to proceed.
